Fixtures
Just as the name conveys, theatrical fixtures are commonly used in theatrical applications. Since such applications are typically portable and change frequently, these fixtures are normally wired with a cord and plug. They are also most commonly lamped with halogen sources ranging from 150watts to 1000watts. Typical fixture types include strip lights or boarder lights, spotlight framing projectors, par lights, Fresnel’s and moving lights. Nearly all theatrical fixtures are for use in interior applications only.
Theatrical control systems are predominantly comprised of a theatrical lighting console and multiple dimming racks. Like architectural systems, theatrical systems range in complexity to simple two scene preset boards to multiple monitor moving light consoles with network server capabilities.
